3ds Max軟體是業界領先的三維建模和動畫，2011年版本提供了一個載入新的工具
和功能

在2011版本中增加了新的建模工具，可以自由地設計和製作複雜的多邊形模型。且
新的及時預覽功能支援AO、 soft shadows、硬體反鋸齒、曝光控制等效果。此版
本給予設計者新的創作思維與工具，並提升了與其他軟體的結合度，讓設計者可以
更直觀的進行創作，將創意無限發揮。整體來說，個人對於3ds Max 2011可以說是
喜憂參半。這次3ds Max 2010在介面、塑磨、材質、渲染、動畫等各方面，都有了
不錯的新功能，但是這些新功能幾乎都是靠相容插件的方式來實現，沒有看到很多
獨創性的內容，而且部分功能在其他3D軟體中早就有了，只是3ds Max現在才擁有
類似的功能，期待Autodesk公司可以在下一個版本中發展出更多更好用，最重要是
獨創性的嶄新功能。

In 3ds Max 2011 New Features, author Steve Nelle introduces the new features 
and productivity enhancements in 3ds Max 2011, with a special emphasis on 
the Slate Material Editor and CAT character animation system. The course 
examines enhancements to existing features, customization options to the 
modeling ribbon, scene management improvements, as well as creating scene 
objects using the Object Paint tool. Exercise files are included with the 
course.

作者相關介紹： Steve Nelle
Having worked as both a freelance 3D animator and a college instructor since 
1995, Steve draws on a vast knowledge of his subject. He also knows how to 
keep people engaged, and offers an entertaining, upbeat approach to video 
training. His professional credits include high-profile documentaries, creating 
visual effects for a syndicated television series, and collaborating on a 
promotional pilot for a children's cartoon. He has also created television 
station IDs and commercials, courtroom visualizations, web graphics, and 
large-scale architectural renderings. He currently lives in southern California 
with his wife, Deanna. They are partners in a 3D animation and visual effects 
company, Powerhouse Productions.
