Sophos Anti-virus提供查毒和殺毒功能，能對 臺式機、網路作業系統、筆記本電腦、
工作站和伺服器進行保護。它能提供即時和定時二種病毒掃描方式。其中即時掃描，能
通過Intercheck技術對需要進行訪問的每個檔進行掃描，只有沒有感染病毒它才允許用
戶訪問有使用該檔。在工作站和終端用戶無需進行操作的情況下，Sophos的安裝、配置、
以及升級，都可由系統管理員通過SAVadmin的中央安裝目錄（CID）來處理，因此使用很
方便。通過Enterprise Manager 還可以實現從Sophos 網站到伺服器、工作站及終端用戶
的自動升級。Sophos Anti-virus能夠監控所以入口點，包括磁片、程式、文檔、網路驅
動器、光碟以及電子郵件和從網際網路下載到臺式機上的各種東西；它能檢測和清除各種
